Sounds like an interesting trip, to say the least. The only Chinese hospital I've seen is the Medical clinic in Guangzhou, which I'm afraid you'll find pretty much the same.
When you get home, you really need to work on getting her to take food from you! Even if its M&Ms to start with. She needs to learn that you will take care of her, and that includes food.
